Atlantis Dunes Quad Biking Age Limits and Rider Requirements

The most common question we get from families is simply: can my child ride? The honest answer depends less on a birthday than on whether the rider can physically control the machine and follow instructions under pressure.

Rider capability comes before age

A rider must be able to reach and operate the throttle and brake comfortably while seated, hold the handlebars steadily, and respond to hand signals from the guide. Riders who cannot do all three are not safe to ride solo on dune terrain, whatever their age.

Where a young rider cannot ride solo, riding as a passenger with an adult or guide is usually possible, subject to conditions and reserve rules on the day.

Documentation

Every rider signs an indemnity before departure. For riders under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign on their behalf and be present. No signed indemnity means no ride — this is not negotiable and is checked at the staging area.

Health and fitness

Quad biking on sand is more physical than it looks: you use your arms, shoulders and core constantly to shift weight. Tell us in advance about back or neck injuries, recent surgery, pregnancy, heart conditions or anything that could be affected by vibration and impact, and we will advise honestly rather than sell you a ride.

Alcohol and drugs before riding are an absolute exclusion. Riders who arrive intoxicated are refused, without refund.

Next step

Prices always include the compulsory reserve permit as a separate line, so the total you see is the total you pay.
