The permit fee is charged per rider and is subject to change by the reserve.

How the total is calculated

Total = tour fee × riders + reserve permit × everyone entering the reserve + transfers if you need them. Spectators pay the permit too, because access to the Witzands Aquifer Nature Reserve is permit-controlled for every visitor rather than every rider.

The final transfer price depends on the pickup location and number of guests, and is confirmed in writing before payment.

Payment and confirmation

Send an availability request and you receive a written quotation with the permit itemised. Your slot is only held once the booking is confirmed in writing, and all departures remain subject to daily reserve permit availability.

Read the cancellation policy and refund policy before you pay.

Which package gives the best value?

Per minute of riding, the two-hour tour is the strongest value, because the permit is charged once regardless of tour length. If you are new to quads or short on time, the one-hour tour is the better first ride — the guide-to-rider ratio is identical.

Pricing questions

How much does quad biking in Cape Town cost?
Tour fees start at R950 per rider for the one-hour Atlantis Dunes tour, plus the compulsory Witzands Aquifer Nature Reserve permit of R300 per rider, giving a total of R1,250 per rider. Longer, private and transfer-inclusive options cost more.
Why is the reserve permit charged separately?
The permit and conservation fee is set and collected by the Witzands Aquifer Nature Reserve, not by the operator. We show it as its own line so you can see exactly what goes to conservation and what pays for the tour.
Do spectators pay anything?
Yes. Anyone entering the reserve needs a permit, even if they are not riding a quad bike. Tell us how many non-riders are coming so the total is accurate.
Are transfers from Cape Town included in the price?
Transfers are not included in the standard tour fees. The final transfer price depends on the pickup location and number of guests, and is confirmed in writing before payment.
Is there a discount for groups?
Group, corporate and birthday bookings are quoted individually based on rider numbers, guides required and timing. The permit still applies per person and appears as a separate line in every quotation.
