Quad Biking Cape Town — Need to Know

We operate on the Atlantis Dunes inside the Witzands Aquifer Nature Reserve, roughly a one-hour drive north of Cape Town CBD along the R27 West Coast Road.

Your total is calculated as: Tour Fee + Nature Reserve Entry + Permit + Conservation Fee = Total per rider. Reserve and permit fees are set by the City of Cape Town. Contact us with your date and group size for a live quote — pricing is confirmed before you book.

No prior quad biking experience is needed. Every tour begins with a mandatory hands-on safety briefing and training session on flat sand before we head into the Atlantis Dunes. Beginners are welcome.

We run a 1-hour Standard Experience and a 2-hour Extended Experience. Custom timing is available for private groups on request.

Your tour fee covers the quad bike rental, helmet and safety gear, a professional dune guide, and the pre-ride safety briefing. Nature reserve entry, permit and conservation fees are added on top and set by the City of Cape Town.

Maximum 6 riders per group with at least one guide. This keeps the quad biking experience premium, safe and truly private.

No. We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy — every rider must be sober. Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to ride, and alcohol is not allowed anywhere in the nature reserve.

We operate daily except Wednesdays, which is a reserve no-operations day. All tours are subject to daily permit availability — the reserve issues a limited number of permits each day, so book ahead.

Closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothes you can move in, sunglasses and sunscreen. The Atlantis Dunes are exposed and dusty — dress accordingly.

Yes. Group size is capped at 6 riders, the guide leads the entire route at a controlled pace, we train every rider before entering the dunes, and we adjust to rider confidence throughout the ride.

Minimum age and licence requirements apply for the driver's seat. Minors need a parent or legal guardian to sign the indemnity forms. Contact us to confirm requirements for your group before booking.

Yes. Private group bookings for up to 6 riders per guide are ideal for corporate team-builds, stag and hen groups, birthdays and family adventures. Bigger groups can be split across multiple time slots — ask us.

Tours may be rescheduled or cancelled at our discretion for safety reasons — high winds, storms, or reserve closures. We'll always contact you ahead of time to reschedule at no cost.
