Refund Policy

Last updated 2026-08-04 · Wanderer Tours and Travel

This policy sets out when money paid for a quad biking booking is refunded, and how the compulsory reserve permit is treated. It should be read together with our cancellation policy and terms.

When you receive a full refund

You receive a full refund of amounts paid to us where we cancel your ride and no suitable alternative slot works for you — including cancellations for unsafe weather or a reserve closure.

When a partial refund applies

Where a ride is materially shortened for reasons within our control, we refund a fair proportion of the tour fee.

Where a reserve permit has already been issued in your name, the permit portion may be non-refundable because it is collected by the reserve rather than by us.

When no refund is due

No refund is due for no-shows, for late arrival that shortens your own riding time, or where a rider is refused for safety reasons such as intoxication or refusal to follow the guide's instructions.

How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method or bank account used for the booking. Allow up to ten working days for the funds to reflect, depending on your bank.

Refund requests must be made in writing to our booking email address and should include your booking reference.

Your statutory rights

This policy does not limit any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable South African law.
